What Are You Avoiding That’s Holding Your Site Back?

Have you ever noticed how easy it is to stay “busy” without actually moving anything forward?

I catch myself losing focus more than I’d like to admit. I’ll mess with layouts, check stats, or start something new instead of finishing what’s already sitting there.

For me, it’s a pile of older content that could be refreshed.

So recently, I have been revisiting older posts that already get traffic and tightening them up. It is not the most exciting work to do, which is probably why I tend to avoid it like the plague. I would much rather be creating my shark content.

One good thing about revisiting older content is that there is no time clock or rush to republish. But every time I do it, things tend to improve. I usually see more engagement a short time later.

What I look for:

• Broken Links
• Outdated Information
• New Features or updates I missed
• Fresh questions, and ones that need to be answered that I missed the first time around.

I am not performing brain surgery. I am just refreshing what I have already created.

Clarity comes from focusing on what actually moves things forward

In my head, it’s easier to start something fresh than deal with what’s already in front of me. So this is a major change that I have made this month to level up my game.
