Should you start a Blog

Based on my experiences over the past couple of years, people I come into contact with think they need to be a great writer or an award-winning author to have a successful blog. That is neither true nor has it ever been true. I am living proof of that. When I began, my writing ability was just above zero. I even asked myself the same question when I started: Should I start a blog?
Before I get into the "should you," allow me to give you my perspective on what a blog is, exactly, in my eyes.
A blog is a type of website focused on written posts intended to reach people and spark conversation. It can be anything like news, politics, wellbeing, or anything at all that you have an interest in. People, in turn, read blogs because they are seeking a real-life point of view rather than a lecture that anyone can get from AI.
One of the greatest things about blogs is that you do not need to be an expert, but you do need to be real. Individuals start blogging for many reasons, such as keeping a diary, sharing an idea, building a community, or making money online. All of which is possible.

Some of the best blogs I have seen are written in a personal, direct conversational tone. People are sharing personal insights, as I am now. Blogs offer readers a comment section for questions. This enables them to share their thoughts with you. This back-and-forth with your readers is one of the best parts of blogging, as it builds trust over time.
Once people trust you, they are more likely to return, subscribe, and, later on, buy from you if that's part of your plan.
Now, should you start a blog?
If you have a genuine interest in building something online for yourself or for profit, then the answer is yes. Make no mistake, this is not a way to get rich overnight. If your purpose is to make money online, the strongest businesses require you to build a foundation that can stand up to any storm, and it takes time to do that.
Today, you have advantages I did not have even a couple of years ago to help you. Such as AI tools and some social media platforms. The only caveat is that you can solely rely on AI to do the work for you. You will need to treat it like an employee that you oversee and provide it with instruction and oversight. You will need to resist the temptation of taking the easy way out when creating content. I learned this the hard way, and that cost me wasted time.
So, should you start a blog? I would invite you to try it and see for yourself. That is the best way to find out whether it is both something you want to do and something you are willing to invest your heart and soul in. I wish you luck.
