My Thought of The Day

Morning everyone!

I was just going through my email and messages and came upon one that made me think about how to respond. It took me a minute to do so tactfully. Many who know me also know that I take zero crap and can respond quickly if I feel justified. Some of it is training, but most of it is just me being me. I found it a great opportunity to create a short share with you all.

Sometimes the best thing you can do is share what you've learned and move on. You might help someone see things differently, or you might not. That's okay because you tried. Online and in life, you will always find a person or even a random nutjob who will disagree with you.

What really matters are the people sitting on the sidelines reading the conversation. They're paying attention to what you say and how you respond. They can usually tell who's speaking from real experience and who's just making it up as they go.

Don't let every comment get under your skin. EVER! Focus on what you're building. Keep creating, keep learning, and keep showing up. The critics and idiots will always be there, but so will the people who appreciate the value you bring and deliver.

At the end of the day, I'd rather spend my time building something worthwhile than arguing with strangers on the internet. Think about it for a second, even though something someone says online in a comment may be hurtful, consider the source. Do not allow a keyboard warrior to ever affect you or the content you produce. You are the authority, and they are just the moron on the sidelines watching you succeed.
