My Morning Workflow: Coffee, Content, and a Routine That Works

My morning begins everyday with the alarm.
I hear it, throw something in its general direction, and go back to sleep. Thankfully, I set a second alarm because morning me cannot be trusted.
When that one goes off, I finally get up, stretch, and stumble toward the AeroPress to make my first cup of coffee. I drink it by the window while scrolling through Facebook and slowly convincing myself that I am awake.
Then it is time for more coffee, a bagel, and a quick look through X to see what people are talking about. After that, I shower, and yes, make another cup of coffee.

Eventually, I check my email and officially begin my workday. It may not be the most disciplined or inspirational morning routine ever created, but it works for me, and I refuse to change it.
The only part that changes from one day to the next is my content schedule.

Some days are set aside for writing blog posts. Others are focused on creating images, updating older content, working on social media, or researching new ideas. Having a content schedule keeps me from bouncing between projects without finishing anything, which honestly, is very easy to do when you manage several websites and always have another idea waiting.
A schedule does not need to control every minute of the day. Mine certainly does not. It simply gives the day some direction and helps me keep my content, websites, and business organized.
The coffee starts the engine. The content schedule tells me where I am going.
That is how I begin my day. How do you begin yours? Also, what does your content schedule look like?
