Earl Nightingale's Lead the Field

I remember back in the 1990s I was trying to find success in business. I had started a part-time carpet cleaning business and was having trouble securing customers. There was too much competition (or so I thought) and it was tough to compete against the major franchises. I was just a single truck operator and had no advertising budget to speak of. I had told myself that the only way to get customers was to advertise BIG time.

Some years earlier I had been impacted by Earl Nightingale's "The Strangest Secret" (search for it on Youtube!) and had bought into his ideas. I don't remember how I acquired it but I also had a copy of Nightingale's audio cassette series called "Lead the Field." I was sitting in my office trying to figure out how to grow my small business. I knew that there were 1000s of customers out there and I only wanted some of them. I knew I could do top quality work if I only had the chance to "show my stuff." But I couldn't get the phone to ring.

On a whim I picked up the audio series "Lead the Field" and started listening. From the first lecture related to attitude I knew I was on to something that would turn my business woes around. I took copious notes and began implementing the strategies. Within a month my phone was ringing. In fact I was getting too many calls. This was only supposed to be a part-time business.

So Why Tell YOU This?

Throughout the latter part of the 1990s and well into the 2000s I worked this part-time carpet cleaning business and made a serious side income. I even wrote a Kindle book on How to Start aCarpet Cleaining Business that sells very well on Amazon. Lead the Field was the reason for the turn around and the success. So, I tell you this because the recordings of Lead the Field are all over Youtube. I had paid for my copy but they are available for free on Youtube. Today I am using many of the principles to grow my internet business. It's working again.
