Affiliate Links not Showing

I have been publishing some new posts in line with the SWAG training program and I have noticed that the affiliate links I have set up are not obvious in the post until I hover the mouse over the actual links words. The words then turn blue and I can hit the link which works fine.

How are visitors to my site going to see the links if they are not highlighted?

Hi Terry,
Have you changed your theme? I ask because my theme allows me to customize the default setting for my links and use a different color. I'm not sure all themes have this feature but you might give it a shot.

find that way works great it lets you put links in where you need them without it affecting some of the places which do not like a lot of links.

You have a point, as if people won't know they are links, they won't even think of clicking on what you want them to. I had that problem with a theme once, and I manually changed the links to a different colour as my theme functions were rather limited.

Regarding your question, you can change the color of your links. Depending on the theme, you can go to Appearance > Customize. On the Customize screen, there usually is a Colors option on the left sidebar.

Go to the Colors option. Find the setting for Colors For Links. You can change it there

Welcome :)

Then make them obvious, for instance like changing the text color to blue or underlining, or including a call to action just immediately before the link or increasing font size to acceptable figures.

There several other ways of making your links more visible.

I can certainly do that, Laurine. I just wonder why they were not automatically highlighted (I'm sure they used to be!).
Thanks for your reply

Oh. Mine have never been automatically highlighted. I always did it manually.

I hope you find out what went wrong with the automatic editing.
