I need to know if I made an optin page to collect emails, do I need to buy another domain and put that optin page on the new domain, since I already have a website made? Or what

No, optin pages should be part of your own domain. As people subscribe to an optin page they are willing to build a relationship with you. If they get an email from a domain different from what they expect they may be confused, and in the worst case concerned that you sold their information to a third party. I believe this is what you are looking for,...if you need more info please get back to me.

Thanks Grizzly. So should my website domain name be used for my optin page, and then the rest of my website that I'm trying to get ranking for be http:// domain name . com/blog and the blog is what I'll be trying to get ranked to get people to leave comments?

Im still not totally clear...could you send me a screen shot or url to the optin page so I can better understand what you are trying to explain.

You don't need another domain, this training should help you get started,:)

Thank you Kathy! I will definitely read through it. Appreciate your answer.

I have LeadPages and love it. I also have hostgator for my 5 websites. If I become a Premium member, can I move my 5 leadpages websites from hostgator to Wealthy Affiliate?

Here's the reply I got from Kyle a while back "you get up to 25 of your own domains and 25 free websites (50 total) as a Premium member. The hosting you get here is comparable to $125 manage wordpress plans out there (in fact better). ;)"

Thanks so much!! This community is great! I noticed your author name: floridajf.....I live in Florida, too, Pensacola!

Actually my name is Floridalma, but some people call me Florida, Flor, or Flora, and I live in Maryland :) I've never been to Florida, still planning on making that trip, looking forward to going to places like Universal Studios.

Absolutely! That is a great choice. I have about 14 websites on WA servers right now :) There are plenty of resources on here once you become a Premium Member that will be available to you. They will teach you exactly how to do it seamlessly. Type in the question box above, "transfer domain to WA." Also, "transfer website to WA." That should do it. You will find specific instructions on how to move the sites from HostGator to WA.
You will be backing up the sites and restoring them to WA and you will also be pointing your DNS settings here as well. A bit of a chore, but if you follow the instructions very closely and in order, you shouldn't have any problems. If you do, there's plenty of help here, either by me or others on here. To your success,

Daniel

Thanks so much Daniel! I don't want to give up my LeadPages, but I definitely want to give up hostgator! So I will join this afternoon for sure!
