Keeping persistent is a challenge with My Online Journey. I stated in my money goals that I am willing to dedicate about 1-2 hours to start, then more as my online confidence increases and my time frees up. I am still on board with that goal, but I am realizing that for me some days I cannot work 1-2 hours straight because something else always comes up, especially being a parent and entrepreneur. So I tried a new approach the other day which seems to be working really good. Instead of 1-2 hour blocks of time, I have been taking smaller chunks of 15 –30 minute times randomly, either during a break or waiting on line somewhere (airport, store, etc.). It’s helpful because I still get to get work done without feeling guilty about not putting in “enough” time. I think about a quote by book author, H. Jackson Brown, when he said “In the confrontation between the stream and the rock, the stream always wins, not through strength but by perseverance". I find this extremely relevant to my circumstance because it’s not all about how much set time I put in but all about the quality of the work I put in and what I take from it. Sometimes you can be sitting there for an hour and 15 minutes will suffice. Regardless of the time the thing that matters is the consistency and keeping persistent in working towards achieving my goals.-Teronie
Great post. I find it very challenging to stay consistent. It takes a conscience effort for sure.
