How to lower your bounce rate by 50 with this quick trick

According to Google Analytics, Bounce rate is defined as:

"the percentage of visitors to a particular website who navigate away from the site after viewing only one page."

There are many ways to lower bounce rate. However, there's one quick thing I did that showed me SIGNIFICANT results.

No, I didn't hack anyone.

I didn't pay for anything. This method is free.

I didn't make my content better, or took months to do it.

It only took me 1 hour to go through every post and page on my website. (I'll get to why I have to do that in a second)

82% to 24% bounce rate. That's actually more than 50% drop in bounce rate!

So what did I do? It's a very simple 2 second thing I did for all my post and pages.

Noticed this box? Did you know that you can tick this option so that when a visitor clicks on any link that goes out your website, it will open that page in a new tab?

Yep, you may have missed it all along. Or may not think it was THAT important. I just basically took an hour, went through all my posts and pages to tick that option and my bounce rate just dropped tremendously.

So why is bounce rate so important? To put it simply, it's one of the metrics that Google actually looks at when determining if a site is deemed as 'useful' to its visitors. A website that has tremendously lower bounce rate than one with a higher bounce rate will tend to rank better especially on the search engines.
