Trying To Stay Focused.
Hello Everyone,
With fall fast approaching, our kids back in school, active with sports and activities... jobs keeping us busy it can be hard to stay focused on the task at hand. Blogging, is a hobby for many, for me writing has been a passion since I was a child. I write all day for my job and get little time to write like I use to. That said, how do we stay focused to write in our blogs each day?
I will be honest here, I don't get to the writing each day. I am tired, worn down and just want to relax some nights. My work schedule can go from really busy to nothing at all at times. So, how do I stay focused on writing? When I noticed I haven't written an article or two for several days I remember why I am doing this. You should keep this in mind also, you do this for FREEDOM! The ability to stay at home or travel and keep a continuous flowing income coming in so you can spend that time with your kids, your personal ambitions and dreams.
Nothing in Life is Free
I cannot expect the money to flow in when I have nothing to offer those that visit my website. I have to remember I am trying to help others first, Kyle has said that if you want to help yourself then you need to help others first. I like to think, love is the key to a happy life, love for your family, others and then yourself.
I do not get down if I haven't written anything all weekend, I just set down and write two articles instead. I focus on a realistic goal for articles each week. In my case 5 articles a week, if I get passed that, GREAT! The bottom line is do not quit on your blogging, plug along at whatever pace works for you and your dreams will come true.
I have a Facebook page I have built for several years. It is a site on cooking and homestead ideas. I have taken my time and built it over time and I realize now that is a very large site. I get new people adding to it almost daily and I didn't really work that hard to get it to this point, I just didn't quit on it. Perhaps, this will be my next adventure in blogging. :)
Give Yourself a Pat on The Back
Remember why you do this, don't get to down on yourself, and realize you can do this! Focus on the end result, reset when you need to and you will be amazed at the growth of your site when you look back over the months since you started. Think, just a short time ago you didn't even know how to build an amazing site, now you have one!
Love ya all,
