The Only Failure

Well, I have been on quite a hiatus. I have been spending the bulk of my time with horse rescue and all the work that comes with it.

But as you can see, it has been very rewarding.

Now that I have explained my absence, I want to share some advice I heard from a very successful local marketer. He said, "The only failure is to fail to fail." I thought, "I hate failure. I don't think there could be anything positive for me in failing." But as I thought about it more, I had to agree.

I have read a lot of comments about people who were feeling frustrated and discouraged and overwhelmed. Of course, the good folks at WA were right there to offer comfort and encouragement. This picture is the picture of a successful future. Why? Because these people were only discouraged because they were failing temporarily. In order to fail, that means they got off the sidelines and got into the game--something most people never do.

Sure we will have failures, but we should celebrate them because they help us build immunity to failure. We all have to fail on the way to success. And when we fail, those people in WA who have already been there and have become successful are there to pick us up and give us a boost of confidence and any help they can offer. They won't let us stay in that spot. Each failure, as long as we fail fast and fail forward, is bringing us closer to success.

The only failure is to fail to fail.

Lisa, I was one of those who wrote about quitting and was supported by this awesome community. The great thing is that I have taken the pressure off myself to do more than I can handle for that is what brings me back to the quitting energy!

Glad you're back and love what you have done for the horses.

Very true, failures will teach us what will work and what won't. Wow, talk about the difference in the before and after pictures of these horses! They're beautiful :)

Indeed. We have to be brave to face failure to succeed.
Cheers.
