Although I've gone through a good bit of the initial training, I can't figure out how to make my blog visible on my website. Is there a setting that I am overlooking?
unless you have changed your site to a static front page your blog should appear when you visit your sites home page
try pressing ctrl+f5 when visiting your site after changes
i hope you find it
phil
Can you remind me how to change that setting? I do remember indicating a static front page, but want to change that to showing the blog.
fi you want to change it then in your site dashboard
click on settings and reading
you will find the box to go back to a blog roll or a static page
if you want to use a static page
then create a new page and title it home...
create what you want the visitor to see when they land on your home page...and save
then create a new page titled blog and save ...no content...
goto settings - reading
click on static page
and drop down the box for your home page and select home
drop down the box for blog and select blog
and save the changes
don't forget to add a blog menu item...or they will not be able to find it
goto appearance - menu
select the main menu
down the left click on custom links
add the link to your blog page and add the link text 'blog'
add to menu and drag it to where you want it displayed
and save the menu...
now visit your home page and press ctrl+f5 to update your browsers cache ot the latest version....always remember to do this or changes may not be shown.....
sorry for the information overload...but there are a few steps in creating a static home page....

Connecting my blog to my website?

Hi, I can see you have a website built, you would find it in sites manager and able log in.
If unable see your post, you may want to clear browsers cache, refresh and try again. Try URL in a different browser or a mobile device.
If you edited a document in site content and published it, future edits has to be done in WordPress. Site content and WordPress work independently.
I'd place my images in a document in site content and publish it to my site. it will be added to my WordPress media library.
