The questions Amazon asks on their application is a little confusing. Does your website have to be fully functional before applying? Does anyone know what they are looking for in

T feel free to message or email me any time I will be on all day and I would love to help you. First the Amazon questions are not to hard to deal with, you have a site yes it's not completely done but don't worry about that. Second monetizing your site will happen when you list Amazon products for sale, so you have items to sell. They will check your site to make sure they want to be affiliated with you anyhow. Now as far as your pages, on your dashboard you have two choices one is a post the other a page, on mine post scroll one after the other and pages do not. So start with selecting a page give it a name and add content if you want your post to do the same just use the pages for post also then you will get the look your after I believe. Here is my email wteears@yahoo.com or bill@doyouridosforless.com I will be here all day if you need me we can walk through anything together trust me I am new and I am just as lost as you are but together we can figure it out. Please don't get frustrated or give up you have come to far.

Bill

Hey T I am also new but I did use the Amazon program and I was approved. I started with Google and amazon and was able to use them both, I have some ads and I made a small Amazon store it was easy and I would be happy to help you any way I can. I know how it feels when your new and everyone seams so far ahead of you it can be overwhelming. Here is the link to my store page doyouridosforless.com/do-your-i-dos-boutique please message me if you need any help at all.

Bill

Hi Bill, thank you and your wife. I checked your store out. Very nice, organized and fun. You know, I was doing well, getting through the course until I started having problems with my site layout. I have wasted a lot of time trying to find the answer to getting my theme into the magazine layout. It's the "Twenty Fourteen theme" Days and days have gone by and I tried getting the answer, but no luck. I did send Kyle a private message earlier today, but no response yet. While waiting for an answer from Kyle, I thought I should go to amazon, (since the course lesson said you should have an affiliate by now) to become an affiliate. Wow, another stumbling block. Some of the questions I can't answer because my site is not fully functional yet. I would appreciate any help. Thank you for your kindness! On my website, the pages are under each other when you scroll down. I want them side by side with the head picture showing, and the content within. If you look at the "Twenty Fourteen theme" you will see what I mean. My website is http://worldsbeststopprimeshopping.com

Hi there, I joined to get there links. They give you five months to get your site up, and your site is looked at after the first purchase from it to be approved by Amazon.
Are you trying to join the API Program...If I remember right that's where they ask all those questions and your site may need to be up for that option, not positive though. I just got my membership ID and use there banners and product links.
Here's one of my pages for products.

kholmes, thanks. Yes, it is where they ask all those questions. The way the questions are asked, it seems like they do expect the site to be up and running. I left that site quick, lol. I like your site. When you state your membership ID, are you referring to prime membership? If not, please let me know what this is. I'm trying to get my website into magazine format, but here it is. http://worldsbeststopprimeshopping.com Let me know what you think.

Yes, when you join Amazon Associates they give you an ID and ID tracking, which are the same. This way you are allowed to use the links no matter where your site stands. If you go into products (search product first) or banners you just click on the button that says get link and copy and paste the HTML code into your text page in edit mode.
I checked out your site and left you a comment there.
If you have anymore questions let me know.

Thanks for your help.

More than happy to, good luck!

It would probably be best if your website is functional first in case they review it.

Kleblanc13, thanks-yes I think that would be the best as well. Thanks!

in my opinion, if your website is not functional yet, then it's probably not a good idea to sign up for amazon associates or any other affiliate program. You may be too early for that.

Where are you in the training?

blairdc, thank you for your response. I thought it may not be a good idea to sign up yet. I'm in course 3- lesson 1, but have a problem with my website layout, trying to get the magazine layout. http://worldsbeststopprimeshopping.com

I want to put the categories within the page, instead of making them separate pages.

Try this:

Is that what you had in mind?
