It's been one lonely month since my youngest child moved on to start her future. And I'm just alone. I'm not used to being completely alone. For the last 11 years, I've been a Single Father trying to raise 2 daughters. Now, I'm just single. At first, there was some excitement. Now it is just... silence. I still haven't processed this situation. Evaluate, yes. Processed? Not quite.

I'm 44 years old. I operate a small photography business (nothing artsy, mainly property and insurance inspections, etc.) There's way too much house and tons of free time which tends to create insomnia. And the loneliness is creeping in.

I've reached out to source books and blogs about the "Empty Nest Syndrome" and have discovered that the "Single Father" isn't very common. So, I've decided that it is time to share my journey, and hopefully my experiences could help someone else who finds themselves in this circumstance.

Stay tuned, because there will be MUCH MORE to come!

Hi Brandon- Welcome!

My advice: embrace the joy and freedom of empty nesting! It's bittersweet, but it means you raised a child to be independent (and that's a parent's job!).

If you haven't done so already, here's where you go to get started with the training: Feel free to ask questions as you go along (I'm happy to help if I can).

Good luck with your new online business!

-Laurie

Thank you, Laurie, for your kind words of encouragement!

I've completed Level 1, and I'm ready for more!!!

While it is bittersweet, my circumstance has also lit the furnace within to do better than I ever did before, to show my kids by example to never give up on improving, to never stop learning, and to always strive for greatness!

Trust me, I'll be quite willing to pique your brain when the questions arise, so there's your warning, and another heartfelt and gracious THANK YOU!!!!

~~Brandon

Sounds like I was reading my life story as well as I was a single dad of 2 girls myself. They have also moved on and gone to college. I know how loneliness can be. Use this as your source and motivation. I'm 47 now and even though I wish I could still be a bigger part of there lives like before, I will continue to stay motivated. Wishing you the best of luck!

Gregg

Thanks for the motivating words Gregg!

That's exactly what I've chosen! No more sitting feeling sorry, time to use this extra time to focus on my business, my future, and on building a legacy for my kiddos!

I've already made it through Level 1, and I'm ready to learn MORE!

I appreciate any and all help, motivation, feedback, and constructive criticism! So again, I say THANKS!!!

~Brandon
