My Success At Wealthy Affiliate. What Are Your Goals?
I have had a full year now with blogging and affiliate marketing and I have not gotten a payout yet but I have been getting some sales. I share all my post with all my social media accounts. Mostly, I use Pinterest and Facebook since I tend to be on those the most.
My main blog which is on being family caregiver is on word press already I just haven't bought a domain for it yet. I have to say after being here for maybe a week and half now I have managed to learn a lot more and accomplished a lot more so far. I am in love with all my training here with Wealthy Affiliate so far. My stats are showing a huge leap in activity.
I have had a lot of major life changes going on this pass year and it is not over yet. Two more months and I will be living in a new state starting a new life with husband and dog. As I try to wrap up things here where I live in Ohio over the next few months my goal is to get this website off the ground and running.
I joined last year but never did anything really with the site. The reason I came back to WA is so that hopefully I can learn how to build a store of my own online using drop shipping. So all suggestions are welcomed here.
In the next 3 months I hope to have the store up so that I can make enough income so I can work from home. Yes, I get this everyone's dream is to work for themselves and to be home more. My old boss always said to me, "You need to work smarter not harder." So true.
My husband keeps on saying to me as well that I need to use the degree I got in marketing and sales since I went to school to get. So here I am trying to figure it all out.
In six months, I hope to be generating enough income from my site to be only working part-time at my regular job. Your probably wondering what is enough income. Well for me it needs to be at least $2000 a month for me to work part-time.
While I know it takes time to build up a business I am realistic about it. I know it takes time to become successful and it won't just happen overnight. If I can achieve that I will be thrilled.
So I am hoping Saffron's Home Decor and Gifts will be a great success. If you haven't seen my blog yet, please check it and let me know what you think of it. Saffron's. My plans for it is to be an online store selling decorating home goods and gifts. Hopefully a great one like Wayfair or Overstock. So again please leave me some comments.

Hello Tami. I looked over your website, didn't go in far, but I like the layout and your theme. Decor I think is something that is very hot and not that competitive of a niche, so you should do well.
But I do see some posts of yours that are a little out of topic, like gift for women (where I see a fitbit, chocolate) and gifts for teens (with the Beats), which I think would not fit in with the decor niche.
Just from my opinion and experience, it's best to stick with either you decor niche (like stuff for the decor in-home) or gift ideas. These are separate niches.

Thank you for your feedback. That makes sense. I want the gift parts to actually be things that are more home related like candles, figurines, throw pillows and blankets. Something can be used in the home like wedding shower items.

I see your point. Then yes, these are totally relevant. It's best to keep to your decor niche as much as possible, specially when starting out. When you've started to gain some authority, then you can start to broaden your horizons.. :)
