Everything Changes

I set my goals to make a living writing. Lord knows I have had enough life experience to write something interesting. Then I met a man who changed my life. Not in a romantic way as you probably pictured. He offered me a job. A really good job doing some kind of work that I didn't know even existed. For privacy purposes I will not go on about it but it is mentally stimulating work, a fantastic crew, and I finally feel like I belong somewhere.
Everything changed as my work and training keeps me very busy. I still want to write but it will be a side gig now. Not the main event. Maybe then the pressure will be off and I can let the ideas flow like a river.
The only thing that stays the same is everything changes - the truest cliche.
