Amazon Affiliates and the states they won't accept !

There are states that Amazon Affiliates will not accept and Colorado is one of them. I was really counting on Amazon as they have many products I could promote on my site. Products I can't find affiliates for. Most all other affiliate sites either don't have any products that are relevant for me or I get turned down because of my content, growing organic medical marijuana. I am having a heck of a time finding any good affiliates.Click Bank, Commission Junction, Share A Sale, none of these work for my site.

Does anybody know a way around this Amazon banned Colorado obstacle legally? Could a relative in another state register my site with Amazon Affiliates I realize any money made would go to that relative and that would be OK with me. I don't want to anything that would get me in trouble. Does anybody know if there is anything I can do keeping everything proper. I know there are others here that have the same problem with Amazon Affiliates not letting them in because of the state they live in. Is there a solution other than moving to another state ?

While I am a little late jumping in here just thought I would let you know that there are a number of other sites that have affiliate programs that specialize in seeds, plants, growing tents, lights, etc. all that jazz. I looked into for a friend in Colorado who also grows but he decided not to do a website. If you have any problems finding an affiliate program to work with just send me a pm and ill send you what I found =).

Wow, thanks for the information! There is still some hope for me. I haven't checked it out yet but the link works. This morning I got the word from. Adsence , They refused me also. Talking about drug paraphernalia, bongs and stuff. I don't even have one add on my site yet. I don't want to sell paraphernalia on my site. Those adds look so junkie on other sites. I'm trying to keep my site clean. The National Wildlife Federation, also turned me down. Although not related to my site, I support them and thought they would add a little class to my site. Oh,well. Thanks again, I,ll let you know how it works out. Tom

I am not a dealer ! I am licensed by the state of Colorado's Medical Marijuana Enforcement Division. I am licensed to grow medical marijuana for a dispensary. I had to pass a background check by the FBI, have no arrest records, and pass an inspection of 10 years of Federal Income Tax Returns.

Not sure you will get any affiliates dealing with marijuana. Though it indicates you are using it for medical purposes, unfortunately companies will not take a risk because it is an illegal substance other than for medical purposes. Debbie

Marijuana is legal in Colorado for medical reasons and recreational use.

The tricky thing is that it's still banned federally even though it's legal in some states, so no one wants to touch it. Kind of silly in my book, but I see the big battle being played out here in FL over legalizing medical marijuana, and I see why advertisers prefer to just keep their hands clean.
