Experiment Gone Wrong!

I Don't Think So!

Recently, I was reprimanded for using the word "experiment" in a FB post .

It seems my friend, who has spent a lifetime working for the health care industry, has very strong feelings about the meaning of this word and its connotations due to the years of working in hospitals where:

• experimental things are discounted because of uncertainty...
• experimental drugs are free
• experimental equipment is discounted

And I understand that public perception can go in many directions and that a positive public statement is always the best way to go..

BUT... in My world.. Life is an experiment..

I don't have the luxury of a big bank account, My daily struggles are about survival and my most valuable thing I own is my time ... well quite plainly, pretty much everything I do is experimental.

• From Training my dogs.. experimental... what works.... what doesn't?
• comforting my grown kids... experimental... Listening works well...
• keeping the turtle sanctuary functioning on a tight budget... experimental.. thank you Krogers..!
• Sharing art and painting with residents of retirement homes.. experimental.. yes, and very rewarding
• And my time on the computer.... yes, there is a lot of information out there... but again finding what works for me.... experimental.
• And of course my intentions here at WA.. totally experimental.. I hope it all pans out in the end... but with experiments... comes uncertainty..

So I Want to thank you all for keeping the experiment alive in me... I happen to like the word.. how, for goodness sake, can we learn and progress as humans if we don't jump off of the proverbial merry-go- round, get outside our comfort zone, and venture off into a little experiment of our own.

I love this family! Thanks for letting me vent... I feel much better..
