Feeling demotivated
Feeling demotivated today. Can´t seem to get anywhere with my Adsense application. 3 times already they´ve come back saying that I either need to adjust something or I need to add my payment details. Every time I think the code is in the right place and the payment details, well, when I enter my account, that option is greyed out so I can´t do anything about the payment details. Until this is sorted, I can´t continue with my training. And then I´ve got queries about Amazon Onelink and I can´t seem to get anywhere there either.

Hi - I took a look at your site. You do not have an Affiliate Disclosure, which is a legal requirement. This is one of the things that Google AdSense needs to see before they approve you. Here is the latest training on it. Affiliate Disclosures, FTC Guidelines, and Amazon Rules
ok thanks. But at the bottom of each review, I do have the Amazon Associate and other affiliate statement.
Hi - yes, but you also have affiliate links in your sidebar that are not Amazon, so you need a full disclosure. Plus your Amazon statement does not meet their requirements, you cannot use the word "support", this will get you banned from their program.
As regards Amazon, you are not allowed to mention the price of the product or their star ratings. And you can only use the one main image of the product, you can't copy and paste other images from the product page. This will also get you banned. Amazon are incredibly strict with their policies.
Sooo I have a lot of corrections to make. And just to clarify, I can have one page only and I´ll call it "Privacy + Disclosure" in the top menu? Also, a few of the photos on a couple of the products are actually mine - I have those products, they are there to show I have used them. Are they ok in addition to the one main Amazon photo?
1. Add disclosure text in privacy page
2. Remove word "support" from my Amazon statement
3. Remove Amazon prices + stars
4. Only use the one main photo of each product.
5. The GDPR and Cookie Consent is already included in Privacy
6. Anything else?
Thanks very much, truly appreciated!
On this page https://devotedtoanimals.com/automatic-pet-feeders-petcute/ - the photos are my own and they link to another blog entry, not the product page. The affiliate links themselves are within the text only, kind of subtle.
Hi - your Affiliate Disclosure needs to be "clear and conspicuous", you can't add it to your Privacy Policy, it needs to be a separate page on your top menu.
You can use your own photos. One of the photos I noticed was in your automatic pet feeder review. You have an image of the dimensions of the product, which I presume is from Amazon, but it is not the main image, so you can't use it. And there is one in your leash accessory post which isn't the main image.
The main things to remember about Amazon, is that you can't buy through your own links, and neither can your friends and family, and you have to make 3 sales in 180 days.
Ok thanks for clarifying.
Re "You have an image of the dimensions of the product, which I presume is from Amazon, but it is not the main image, so you can't use it.", Even if this doesn't link to Amazon itself?
The leash one, ok.
Yes, the 3 sales in 180 days is something which is worrying me quite a bit. The rate I'm going, I'm going to be blocked out by every affiliate program I've joined. Can you reapply to Amazon if this happens?
Hi - yes, you can't use any images from Amazon, other than the main one, and you definitely can't link an Amazon image to anywhere other than Amazon itself.
You can reapply to Amazon and will be accepted immediately, but will be given a new ID. That means all your old links will no longer work and you will have to swap them all. And the 3 sales actually applies to every Amazon country you may have joined. So, if you have joined Amazon US as well as Amazon.co.uk, then you need 3 sales in each country.
Amazon is a lot of hard work for very little reward. I sold a mobile phone last year for £217, and my commission was £1.87. Hardly worth it.
Yeah, I'm wondering if it's all worth it right now to be honest. I could be out in the sun instead.
I read the Privacy on my site - which came from the Content template on here WA - and there is no mention of the initials GDPR....?
@Susie50 - one more point :
Amazon doesn't allow to post the price for any product. So instead of the price you can just add a button like "Check the product on Amazon" with your amazon link for every product.
At the bottom of every post you can use a text something like below:
This post contains affiliate links, which means every time you make a purchase using a link we will earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
Hi ok thanks. Re the text, I did have that text at the bottom and I've been told it has to go above the links now. So now I'm really confused. I'm wasting so much time on this. Very frustrating.
Hi - the training I sent you is the most up to date, it was only written in March, and is the one you need to follow.
You may well see older sites that don't appear to be sticking to the rules, but I personally wouldn't risk it, particularly as once you have met Amazon's target, they will give your site a final inspection, and even at that point could remove your account.
Here are two article links you might find useful:

Also, go through the training suggested by @ DianeScorpio
Hi Susie,
I have tried to reply to your Amazon One query. Please check and let me know if that helps!
Regarding the Adesene account, I would suggest you take a screenshot of the greyed out screen and raise a support request with them.
Let them take a look and come back. Adesne has a support community also. You can also explain your problem over there and ask for their suggestion.
Here is the URL:

Thank You!
Hi Susie, I had a similar issue but not at the account billing details. My account was not able to register. After using another email, I was able to register. Matc

If I get anywhere, I'll let you know Hilde. Wishing you good luck!
