Becoming a Millionaire
Why do people really want to become a millionaire? And how do people do it?
Over the last many years, I've built businesses from the ground up, went through the investment route, worked as an executive, and done some amazing things in my life. Nothing as more amazing the having three children that are starting to head off to college.
Now I'm at a time in my life that I look at my finances and ask, WTF? Where did it go? I do the answer and sorry for the language appreviation, but all the work, trying to save. Always scraping by. I do have a good life, and I wouldn't really change much. But what I desire so much right now is financial freedom.
I joined Wealthy Affiliates to earn freedom. Freedom to spend time outside of corporations, spend time working where ever I want, freedom to travel with my wife instead of for work, freedom to help my kids get through college and see them whenever I want (or they allow me).
We all become happy at some point where money won't change our happiness level much. Of course, having more adventures, buying nice things, and other stuff is excellent, but that deep down happiness doesn't come from a dollar. It comes because the money provides a sense of freedom.
I joined WA about a year ago. I started off strong then got focus more on work as it consumed me because I traveled every week. It's what I had to do. I was finally able to get a job locally in the last 6 months before my kids start to headed to college.
For the least 2 months I've been working on my site www.becomingamillionaire.net. Strongly focusing on the affiliate program training. I have plans for it. If anything, to learn, earn additional income, then I can decide what to do with it.
Now my goal, earn enough of an income so I can quit my job, have a retirement plan, pay for my kids college without draining all savings, and be financially free. I will become a millionaire.

Keep working at it and I wish you much success. I am here so that I to can retire and enjoy a stress free time with my husband, kids and grandkids. Time with family for me is the happiest.

Brian, I have those same goals, want to get out of my daily job. I want the freedom that money gives. It's hard but is achievable. I like what you said: " It comes because the money provides a sense of freedom." I want to do what I want and when I want, not have to ask permission to have a day off.

Becoming a millionaire starts in your mind, it does not come from willpower. Life can only change if we change inside and outside.
A great quote from one of my mentor he says.
Live the life by design not by default.
