What's in the spelling of a name?
My wife's name is spelled Janette, which means gift from God. I think it is the more common spelling, yet there isn't one other Janette that is a member on WA! I have friended a couple of Jeanette's on WA, mostly because I would like your input. How many Janette's do you know? Also, what other names are spelled "funny," that you want to talk about?
God bless,
P.S. My name is Lynn, and I'm Janette's husband. Fun fact, there are probably more female Lynn's, but I know a few males too!

I love my name Wayne Wallace! I've been told many times over the course of my life, it sounds like a celebrity name, so I'm trying to live up to that.
So I guess you never considered legally changing your name? Good luck on becoming famous.
My name is Amanda. It means "beloved". It's difficult to mess up my name but people manage to do it. My fiance's name is Everett which is less common. He is frequently called Edward or Edmond or Evan.
Hi Dave, mine is John and I work with somebody called Jean. It pronounced 'John'. When people phone for him they ask for 'Jean' pronounced like 'Levis Jeans'. I suspect this is french word, correct me if I'm wrong. Meaning of John: "Graced by Yahweh"

Owner who name their puppy 'Kitty' , their poodle 'Chow chow', and their cocker spaniel 'Husky'. I call them the wannabe - who will never be.
I don't know anyone that did that personally. However, one of friends from school has 3 girls, there names are on the top dog names list. They didn't try it either.
