Midnight, in the land of the Procrastinating Idiots

Hi, WA community!

I've recently come through another rough patch, I never know when these moods are going to come over me, they're usually preceded by some bad event or bad thing that happens in my life, and I go into a tailspin where I just want to sleep all the time.

I think of wealthy Affiliate as a lifeline, a grounding to something good, I'm really psyched about the training I've read and watched today and I can't wait to start implementing them on my first website. I've read that you should make your first niche site about something you're interested in, or excited about, but I beat my head against a wall, couldn't think of anything.

So, what I've decided is, what the hey, your first site is all about learning how to do this, so I've just picked a topic at random and I'm going to build something around that.

Here's a short anecdote I've written on the subject of procrastination, I call it,

MIDNIGHT, IN THE LAND OF THE PROCRASTINATING IDIOTS

Balrogg sat on the floor of his dark hut, muddy and alone.

Presently, Gromagg beat on the craggy, wooden door.

"Balrogg home"??, he asked.

"Balrogg home", came the soft reply.

The door opened and Gromagg entered.

"Missed Balrogg on hunt, much meat, skin taken"

Balrogg replied, "Me tired, not want hunt, hunt tomorrow..."

Gromagg replied, "We leave tomorrow, ice on trail, not leave tomorrow, we die in ice. You go Gromagg house, eat meat, drink, get warm, leave tomorrow."

"I come Gromagg house tomorrow", said Balrogg. "If feel better, help Gromagg load meat, skin."

Gromagg watched for a moment, then turned and walked out.

The next day, Gromagg came back to the hut and beat on the frozen door again.

"Balrogg ready leave? We leave, trail closing..." There was no response.

Gromagg hammered on the door again, then with no response, he entered.

Balrogg lay on the worn skin, scrunched into a small ball, everything covered save for his shaggy head.

Gromagg lifted a huge foot, matted with thick hair, and poked Balrogg in the back.

"We leave, Balrogg come?"

For a moment, there was no reply, and then Balrogg turned over, weary with the effort, and said, "Balrogg stay, have wood, make fire, Balrogg live..."

Gromagg grunted, and said, "Cold come, no food, Balrogg die.."

Balrogg scrubbed his beard with a dirty hand. "Gromagg go, Balrogg use Gromagg hut, more wood, many wood hut..."

Gromagg said, "Gromagg leave soon, Balrogg come, still go..."

Balrogg sighed and rolled back over, pulling the shaggy skin deeper over his head.

Gromagg stood a moment longer, unsure of a course, then said, "Gromagg leave skin, meat in hunt, Balrogg eat, stay warm.."

No answer came from his friend, so with a shrug, he stooped beneath the archway and went back out into the cold of the day.

For a time, there was the rush of activity that Balrogg could hear coming from the rest of the camp, then a great cry came up, and the rustling of people could be heard, gathering into crudely made wagons. For a short time, he could hear their passage up the steep, muddy incline that led to the trail out of the valley, then silence descended on the day.

Hi, I believe procrastination is an art form, always wanting to paint a pretty picture but telling yourself you never have the time.

“Decide to dream big dreams and make them happen. Never let procrastination and excuses squeeze your dreams to become small. Do it early and do it big!”
