Connecting With Your Audience: Be Yourself.

I have been watching the Live Training that Kyle shared with us and thinking about the last week since joining WA. One of the things in my research for how best to find success in an online business as well as everything that is stressed in the coursework, seems to gravitate towards the basic theory found in any profitable sales experience.

The theory that people buy from people they like.

It is absolutely true. One of the topics in the Live Training was the fear of Competition and how one day we will all be the competition. We aren't Tony Montana and thank the lord for that (competition satire), but there will always be products out there a dime a dozen, readily available for any consumer to buy, the trick is separating from any given pack and standing out. If every single one of us was the same the world would be gray, but rather we have a technicolor beauty all around us. I feel like this community here at WA is one of the most beautiful groups of people in and out, people with voices and dreams and we have the ability to support each other, build one another up when things get rough and celebrate our successes when things are great. Mostly what I see here at WA is people are genuine and kind and themselves.

In business, I think the more personality an individual shows, the more they stand out, the better they will do. Anyone can do research and present an idea or product or niche in factual format, but when a person digs in and shares something of themselves, their experiences, both good and bad it makes it real, there is something pretty awesome about that. It helps our audience connect with us and in my opinion makes them more likely to do business with us over the many others selling the exact same thing whatever it may be.

I guess the bottom line is always the same, be yourself, be honest, be kind and be unique and don't be afraid of anything because you are the controller of your own destiny. As far as I can see here at WA, I am surrounded by some of the best people I will ever have the joy of meeting and there is nothing this constituency of like minds can't accomplish!

We must never give up, not on each other, not on ourselves, not on the foundation of this great forum of which we are apart of.
