We are our worst critics

Back in January, I made a go at my first post or what I thought would be my first post on Wealthy Affiliate. I had waited for a long time for this day and it finally came, the day I had my very first website indexed by Google. I knew exactly what I was going to write in that post. Filled with excitement, I wrote my first line of introduction about my site being indexed and about my excitement at being indexed. Before I could write anything else, I accidentally touched the return key and out went my post to publish on the WA platform with just one line. I could not recall the post. I told myself, this isn't going to work.

How was I going to correct this error, what was the community going to think of me? A lot went through my mind but most of all, I was telling myself, how stupid is that, forget about blogging or posting anything anymore, this isn’t for you.

I had one person make a comment, believe it or not, a positive comment about my one line post.

That one comment has kept me going. It has taken me this long though to get back to my goal of writing as I ended up getting side- tracked with other things.

Mistakes are there to be made

A lot of the times we are stopped from realizing our potential by our own self-doubt, beating ourselves up too much on things that we cannot change.

I wonder how many people out there have failed to accomplish their goals just because of one silly little mistake.

Mistakes are there to be made. What is important is what we do from then on.

Don't let that mistake stop you from realizing your dream.

Pick up that pen and let those words roll out.

What business ideas do you still have hidden inside of you? What goals have you put aside because of the fear of being judged?

It is never too late to pick up from where you left off. The world is not judging you. Try to be a little kind to yourself.

With or without your mistakes, life goes on, and so should your dreams.

A word of encouragement

Just thought I would encourage someone who might be at the verge of abandoning what could be a life changing business decision for them and their loved ones. Do not worry about making those mistakes. That is all part of learning and growing your business. Forget about what the world is going to think of you. Just learn to take things in your stride and move on. Do not let anything or anyone hold you back. Have fun while making those mistakes.

It is time to start that business.
