Malaysia's 14th General Election.
Malaysia just finished its 14th General Election on 9th May,2018.The result was not in favour of the ruling party, Barisan Nasional (National Coalision Party) which ruled the country for the last 61 years.It was taken over by an opposition party,Pakatan Harapan (Coalision of Hope) lead by a 93 years old Tun Mahathir Mohamad.Tun Mahathir was the 4th Prime Minister of Malaysia who ruled the country for 22 years from 1981 and he stepped down in 2003.He is the oldest Prime Minister in the world and also become Prime Minister for second time and likely world record.
After two Prime Ministers after him for a period of 15 years he decided to come back to politics but heading a new opposition coalision party,Pakatan Harapan (Coalision of Hope) to take the ruling party,Barisan Nasional (National Coalision Party) which he had headed before when he was the Prime Minister for first time and successful in bringing down the ruling party with simple majority.His party obtained 121 seats out of 222 seats.
He took an oath before the Crown King,Duli Yang Maha Mulia Yang Di Pertuan Agong at 9.30 pm,the same number of his age,93 on 10th May,2018.
He was cheered and welcome by his supporters who waved their hands and flags along the roads as he was passing in motorcades.

Great post, Sukiman. I have several friends and work colleagues in Malaysia and they all are very excited about the results of the election. I hope that this excitement lasts and that the new party provides the people with what they need.
