When I go to publish I get a message that my post is currently in the trash and I need to restore it I have 32 versions its driving me crazy!!!!

Hello,
go to posts, click on "trash" and on "restore" under the post you want to restore.
It could be another technical problem, though.
Usually, you can't edit a post that has been trashed.
Could you make a screenshot and show it to us?
If that's not possible, you could also contact SiteSupport to take a look at it.

First just look for the restore button as Moritz says and then to handle all your revision you need to use this great WP plugin
Optimize Database after Deleting Revisions
Go to you add new plugins and type this in and then install
I set mine to keep three revisions only
