A "food for thought" question
Here is a 'Food for Thought' question for you:
If fish could scream, would we still go fishing?
I personally don't fish but I'd love to hear your thoughts! Thanks! SUE

Personally I don't fish either but one of the loudest animals I can think of is the pig and people enjoy eating their flesh inspite of....
So true...the squealing pig is loud indeed. Thank you for reading and commenting Russel! ;-}
Yeah, many people go fishing for relaxation and peace and quiet. Screaming fish would definitely kill the mood.
Thanks for commenting Jim. I just found this:
Do fish feel pain? Not as humans do, study suggests

Source:
Forschungsverbund Berlin e.V. (FVB)
Summary:
Fish do not feel pain the way humans do, according to a team of neurobiologists, behavioral ecologists and fishery scientists. The researchers conclude that fish do not have the neuro-physiological capacity for a conscious awareness of pain.
But we're still ripping them out of their natural habitat, and I reckon I'd scream if someone did that me!
I'm not against fishing, I know Jesus was a fisherman. It was just a 'Food for Thought' question. Take care!

That is, indeed, food for thought, Sue. A difficult thought to ponder. What is the nature of nurture? Does its essence require that we fish, slaughter other animals? Turn the sod to plant? Do all those things essential for living?
Perhaps if we could understand all of that about the essence of living, of being, we might not have qualms about fishing or any such activities that require us to live.
Awesomeness!
Mojalefa.
Thank you for that philosophical take on the question Mojalefa! It's amazing how many people didn't just answer with a "yes" or "no".
Awesomeness....I agree! Thanx for reading and for your comment. :-]
