My facebook business page has taken off. I have topped 1,000 followers and my website traffic is way over that. I never expected it to get anywhere near that and as a result, between the face book page, the website, the forums, and my other job I am spending 19 hours a day "working".
One of these days I'll have to work on monetizing the sites. Didn't see the need when traffic flow was a dribble. I have signed up and been accepted by 5 affiliate programs, just never took action on them.
I may need to find someone to handle facebook. If the growth had been over a prolonged period of time, which I expected, that would have been fine by me and I could have handled that a lot easier, but 1,000 followers in one week is pretty rapid and, every time I check, the number keeps going up.
I guess it's the ripple effect based on the number of comments I see where people are being tagged and those people respond.
I dabble a bit with google+ but I just don't see where I can get the time I would need to handle that.
I got a program that let's me put a popup poll on the website the first time they go to the page, so I asked how people found out about the site and 78% found out from the facebook page so it's is a very powerful tool. More powerful than I imagined.
Who needs google search? If I've had 1,573 visitors to my site in one week without being listed in the search engine I can't imagine what will happen once I am there. lol
WA was a big help in teaching me about creating a site, I couldn't have done it without them. I also did a lot of research outside of WA on building traffic without waiting on Google to decide I was worthy of their attention.
Funny thing is that the facebook business page is showing in searches, usually page 4, but not the actual website, except for the website logo which does show up #1 in the images section. Weird.
