I have some posts with close to 1,000 comments on them. They are #1 in Google and as it continues to get comments (because of the ranking and the engaging nature of the content...which should always be a focus), it is going to be very difficult for someone to oust me from this position.

There is no such thing as too many "quality" comments.

Thanks for clearing things up Kyle. I'll keep this in mind!

Is it a good idea to take some of them off the page they are linked to - and move them somewhere else?
I have around 30 on the front page and it looks a bit crowded. They are GOOD comments - so do not want to lose them.

A lot of comments just means that you are doing a great job. Unless they are spam.

I have the same bad feeling about big number of comments. It was Eric with whom I discussed it once. So I am trying to have them spread through all posts and pages.

My first thought ... why only 200 words?

My second ... where did the comments come from?

Other than that I figure, if all is legit, you have one killer post that is gaining lots of attention.

ROCK ON!

200 words is an example. The comments could come from the 'get comments' page here on WA. You can ask as many commends here as you want. Is there like an ideal amount of comments you can have? Thanks for your reply :)

lol. I wish yea.. Thx for help E!

lol - I thought you had a lil post with lotsa comments.

No - there is no limit on the amount of comments that I've heard of. You'd want to make sure they are legit, i.e. not spam.

No problem Vinc, just let me know if you need anything.
