Helpfulness and Friendliness to the Point of Distraction
Wealthy Affiliate is a great source of affiliate marketing information, training and community.
For those of us more prone to being sucked into the social media aspect of our membership, we must be very careful not to let our desire to be helpful and friendly overshadow the building of our new affiliate marketing businesses.
This friendliness and helpfulness is NOT wrong, but depending on our individual goals, but may be a harmful distraction.
I have heard some members complain that response to their questions often comes from those who are just beginners as well. We would all like more input from those who have actually 'made it' and are experiencing growing success.
Ironically, the WA ranking system inadvertently encourages this harmful level of distraction.
It seems like WA would be the most effective If we all put the building of our individual businesses first, with a commitment to help others achieve the same level of success -- AFTER we have experienced a measure of it ourselves.

I think spend 85% on your business including training, and 15% answering posts would work.
I have set 2 blocks in the evening for going through and answering posts and questions. What is left after this two blocks I delete. Otherwise I would never be able to make any work for myself. Have a nice weekend.
Good luck on getting a response to those who have "actually made it" I am happy to be with WA but, some down to earth success stories would be nice once in a while, and I don't mean the ones that state I made my first sell of .50 cents.
At one time we were all beginners and wanting to do our best to help because it felt good to help another person.

Im still a newbie, and about to break the 200 mark. Only because, my job gives me time to interact with the community. I work tons of hours an so haven't had as much time as I would like to work on the lessons, as I cannot do this at work. I have to agree, that although Ive gone through most of the 150 plus messages a day I don't feel that I have earned the mark of approval.
