Gutenberg No - Classic Editor Yes!
I Was Wrong! (About Gutenberg)
Forgive me for all the past negative comments about the Classic Editor. I have finally become convinced, and deleted the Block Editor from all my sites. Perhaps in a year or so, they might catch up, but certainly not now. I have done a complete 180 since my earlier comments.
When I started I thought the block editor made so much sense at least for a newbie like me. Adding images was really easy, and inserting new blocks was a piece of cake. Little did I know all the things it could not do. Yesterday, I was working on my last Gutenberg site, got frustrated with the limitations, and installed the Classic Editor, Tiny MCE Advanced, and deleted Gutenberg.
Now I'm 100% Classic! Thanks for all the advice and training. I think things will be much easier going forward.

It is a plug-in. Install and activate Classic Editor. Also, install and activate TinyMCE Advanced. Then in your website settings, click "Writing", and in "Default Editor for all users" select Classic Editor. In "Allow Users to Switch Editors", select No.
That's it. When you open a post, there will only be one "Edit".
OK I installed the Classic Editor plugin. I did not see a plugin called TinyMCE Advanced though. Could it be called something else?

I must agree with you. I dread the day when they take away our classic editor plugin.
