Trust in the Bootcamp

This is a blog for those of you who are just starting out here on Wealthy Affiliate. One area in particular that I would like to address is the Boot Camp section. If you are new to starting a website like I was, than you might be expecting a certain level of success relatively quickly. I know that I was however; I also knew that at the start of this I would not have the amount of time that I would like to put into available. With that being said even with my limited amount of time I had to put into going through the Boot Camp and developing a site I still started to progress on my site within the first month.

How it helped

For starters I loved the fact that is task based. Meaning that in order for you to move on with the program you must first check off that you have done the required tasks in the lesson in order to move on. Now in theory you could just check that you had done the required task and still move on with out having done them but that would defeat the entire purpose of doing the Boot Camp program. What you will notice when you first set up your site is that there is a section that tells you your site health. It allows you to then go into the details of the things that affect your site health, as well as what your site trust is and if you have been indexed on Google. One of the things that will help to get you indexed on google is a combination of people visiting your site and leaving comments and then you responding to the comments. Where the boot camp comes in to help is that there is a lesson where they have you post a link to your page in the comments section and allow people that are doing the program the opportunity to view and comment on your site, and you can do the same for them.

The Frustration

When you get your site up and running and you are at the point where you have started to put up content, you tend to start to think that will automatically make your site health get better and you will start to be noticed on Google. Unfortunately those are not realistic expectations. While publishing new material on a regular basis is defiantly a positive thing for your site you need to do that along with a couple of other things to help get you noticed and trusted on Google.

The Good News

The good news is that Wealthy Affiliate helps you out greatly with getting comments and feedback. One of the slogans is " pay it forward". Another way to look at it is the age old saying " I'll scratch your back if you scratch mine". In other words if you help me I will help you. They give you the opportunity to have other members view your site and give you feedback on it. The way that you achieve this incredible advantage is that you need to take the time to review and comment on other members sites. For each site that you review or comment on you receive a credit, once you collect at least 2 credits you are allowed to request comments and feedback.If you take the time to do the reviews and leave the comments you will start to see that the more comments and feedback you generate the better your site health will get and the healthier that your site gets will bring you closer and closer to achieving that wonderful Google status.

My Experience

For me at this point in time I do not have the time to put mass hours into my website. What I am finding with the limited amount of time that I have is that with each step I take and the more comments and feedback I generate my site is slowly but surely growing. After only having my site up and running for about a month I am already on the Google Index, my site health is getting stronger, and I moved from 0% site trustworthiness to 10%. While that might not seem like a lot, to me it shows that the system works and if you stick with it you will only continue to grow and achieve mreo and more success
