Been a quiet bystander after getting a fast start. but I'm Back to Work
Be patient with me.... but this is my story. I was in the food service industry for years... Owned and operated a few Sub shops and Catering businesses. I got tired of the labor involved and always was intrigued with online biz. The problem was the time left in the day to start. I toyed with this stuff for years.
It's been years since I joined WA. I've always had a desire to develop a business online but never seemed to find the time. When I joined (2007) I owned a Catering Business and long hours (excuse / reality). When I built a few sites back in 2010, it was right after I got out of the catering business and was trying to reinvent myself http://reinventyourpath.com and http://stevedangelo.com . Fast forward to 2016, I'm still here. I'm going through the training and taking things more seriously. I never even considered cancelling my membership because I knew deep down inside this community was the key to breaking into online business. I started another site http://oldguyhockey.com for fun and just recently set my wife up with http://pixbychics.com a home décor and fashion site that is something she is interested in.
The past 3 months have allowed me to get more focused . I had a knee replacement on 12/21/15 and had some down time. I own a small vending business now (snack and soda machines). During my down time I had friends help me keep it going and also had a lot of time to dive back into WA. I don't know why I always toyed around with WA. I felt I was to busy and just put it on the back burner.
I've come to realize after my surgery and at my age(55) that I need to slowly wean away from the physical business I have and supplement and / or hopefully replace it with an Online Business. An Online Business won't require me to load and unload and get in and out of a truck all day. I feel like slapping myself on the side of the head for waiting this long to take it seriously. Being brought up in an Italian Family you may want to say I have been a little "Stunad" look it up, you'll see what I mean.
I have to say I have had some success with building some sites and learning some basics. I want to move forward from here and finish the classes and become more active here at WA. I feel I have a few things I can help newcomers at WA. Mostly I csan be a cheerleader for not giving up!
My short and long term goals are this :
1. I want to finish the coarses in the next 3 months
2. I want to develop the sites I have and learn how to make money with them
3. I would love to be able to help others and/or build sites for others as a side biz
4. I want to be full time in this business and be done with my vending business
by the end of 2017 if that's possible.
