Why is Google Adsense so Complicated?

It's Been 2 Weeks

So I applied for Adsense about 2 weeks ago now. I was told they are getting ready to put ads on my site, and I followed their directions correctly.

For instance, I added Site Kit. It says that with this plugin I am not required to add the code. Is this correct? It also says something about adding it between the body tags, which I am not sure how to do.

Anyone know what I am missing? Or is the only thing missing is my patience? Is it just a matter of time at this point?

If you have been told that your site is acceptable and you've added the code for identification then you just have to wait.

Have you actually had the "congratulations, your site is ready to serve ads" email yet?

If not, they are still checking that you have met all their terms and conditions and that you have enough traffic to make it worth their while working with you.

Yes, they came back a couple of days after I first applied and set they were going to set up ads.
That's when I followed along to add Site Kit.

I know I'm missing something. Maybe you can see it. Thanks again for your assistance.

Ok, if your site had not been approved, or the code had not been accepted, then you wouldn't have been able to access the section of your AdSense account that talks about Auto Ads.

The section on the left-hand side of your AdSense home page would be grayed out, you wouldn't be able to access anything. So, that seems to be fine.

Usually, at that stage, the ads start appearing after 2 to 3 days. I don't use Site Kit, so I can't say if there is a problem in that respect.

Perhaps you are just not getting enough visitors as yet for them to show ads. After all, the ad companies pay Google to have their ads shown and to get traffic.

If Google is putting ads on your site, and you don't have anybody to click on them, then the companies won't be happy that they are paying for nothing in return.

Perhaps leave it a few more days, then try and find customer support. At a maximum, AdSense only pays around $10 per 1000 visitors, so you are unlikely to be missing out on a lot of money!
