Wealthy Affiliate Has Brought Out The Writer in Me

When I joined Wealthy Affiliate, I'll be honest, I had no idea what to expect. All I knew was I liked the business concept they were projecting.

And after many failed attempts at programs in the past, this one had a different feel to it. It's probably the only course online that I have seen that focuses on putting in work. Most programs just give a vague interpretation of the benefits with the "set it and forget it" pitch.

Being Accountable For My Own Actions

After the following the training on WA, I am on Level 4 of the Online Certification Training. I have only been with WA for about a month, and have made it a priority to follow the training to the T.

I have published multiple blog pages in my niche, and I am finding that writing is becoming more of a second nature to me. This is similar to how I grew up. I spent my whole childhood writing and documenting everything.

Freelance Work

Posting blogs or videos online can be nerve-wracking experience to someone new to this industry, I know I felt like this, as I'm sure many of you reading this would say the same.

But the confidence and belief that I have gotten from the community here, has allowed me to see the opportunities presented in front of me.

In saying that, I am happy to announce that today, after I applied on Saturday (May 7th), I have been hired by Iwriter, to be a content writer on their platform.

I am so grateful for everyone here in this community for making this a wonderful place to learn the real skills to make an income online.

Thank you Kyle and Carson, and all of you who were there to offer assistance to me when I needed it.

This is just the start of the journey, and I can't wait to see what's around the corner for me. Bring it on!

Good for us newbies here who have tried the rest.

Hi - congratulations on being accepted at iWriter. However, do be aware that they pay the lowest rates in the industry. For example, as you will start at the lowest level as a Standard writer, you will earn just over $5 for a 1000 words article.

However, it's a way of finding your feet in a very competitive industry, and once you acquire knowledge and skills in writing for clients, you can apply to other agencies.

Other than my private clients, I actually do some work for a Swedish agency called BoostContent. Unfortunately, they are not taking on new writers at the moment. But even their lowest tier pays $22 per 1000 words.

I knew they paid the lowest rate, but as you mentioned, it's a great place to get started in a very competitive industry. I am only starting out and I don't want to skip anything or take it for granted.

We all learn to crawl before we walk, so I feel this is a great ay to keep momentum going to reach the next step and the next step after that.

Do you think it's a decent place to start? What would you suggest as a freelancer, is a good starting point?

Just be careful with iWriter. I did work for them for about a month but made very little. Often, my work was rejected without reason, and I knew perfectly well there was nothing wrong with it.

I then discovered that it had been published anyway. So, in effect, I had written several posts for nothing.

A couple of years ago, I wrote a series of blog posts on how I got started and what to expect. You may wish to read them.

I have written 2 articles already, and both are still pending. I see what you mean, as the first thing I noticed is how often clients reject articles.
I appreciate you sending me the links to your blog posts. I am definitely going to check them out.
You live and learn, I guess.
Thank you for all your help, it is really appreciated.
