Let`s say i`m interested in a certain field of science. Could i build a site where i post the latest articles in that field? Is it common to build sites this way? Would it pay o

You should narrow your science niche down though. Are you talking physical science, chemistry, astronomy, physics. There is a lot in the science field so I would select one manner of science.

You can have a website for whatever niche you have a passion for.

With science you could become an affiliate at Amazon as they are an excellent resource for books on may subjects. I would do research on affiliate links if you are wanting to may money as well before you build your website.

People make the mistake of having an idea and did not research to see if they could earn money.
Debbie

Thanks a lot , i will look in to that.

You are welcome. If you need any assistance, let me know. Debbie

that should be "niche"

this is a good question. there are two kinds of niches. those that provide information and those that provide products. Both can be a pay off. but you have to ask yourself "what type of products will I be able to advertise with this niche?"
Anything can be a niche, remember a niche is just an audience, and I'm sure there are a lot of people out there interested in science but what kind of products can you offer them at are relevant to science that you and them can both benefit from?
Hope this helps, much success!!!

Hmm, i was thinking the same thing :)

When i`ve made a search and press "view qsr" i get redirected to google as if i hade just done a search there. I can`t see how many sites use "my keyword" only how many pages of si

The WA tool shows - how many sites are competing for that keyword in the eyes of google.
So, when the tool takes you to google and shows you results such as "Page 3 of 297 results", it means that google thinks that 297 sites are competing for that exact keyword.
Got it??

Ok, got it, if that`s the way it works all is good, thank you for clearing that out for me.

hmm. good. I am happy that helped clear it up. Here's a link to a video by Kyle that will clear it up even more. https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/how-to-find-your-true-competition-in-google-understanding-qsr

If my comments have really helped you, I'd appreciate it if you could press the like button on my comments. It would just help me to improve my rankings further. Hope you wont mind.

:) no i don`t mind "liking" you at all.

Ok, how important is the choice of website theme? Should i just choose anyone and how hard is it to change it later on. My head is spinning here with all 1400 of them.

I wouldn't spend too much time on it, I think as your site grows you will probably want to change it. I have changed mine 2-3 times already. I would recommend one that is "responsive" so other devices like phones, tablet etc can see your site good and its not all distorted. You can use the search bar in wordpress to try and narrow down your choices too. Help this helps a bit :-)

I have a hard time deciding every time... when I first pick the one here at wa, I usually pick something cool that i have not used before... more times than I not, i end up switching to one that I have used before. I have themes that I have purchased over the years that I like. You can certainly change whenever you get redy.. depending on widgets and some theme functions, it may take a little time to adjust when you change themes.

Thank you all, you all helped my with my problem.

I went thru 4 themes before I found one that I liked. You can change the theme if you want to. Like the last one said, try to look for something that fits your niche. Mine is called the Aspen theme, some themes let you choose different styles.

I can relate! Just choose a simple one. Make sure you've done the update that came out about a month ago. The update made all themes mobile friendly. Just pick a simple, plain one. Changing is a piece of cake and all information transfers over like a charm. I've done it several times.

Just pick one and move forward. You will feel tons better.

Thanks a lot, just what i needed to hear :)

It's good to get a color scheme that reflects your subject. You wouldn't want floral and pretty on a site dedicated to race cars for example. Best advice I'd give is spend some time looking at the websites of the top-ten ranked people here in WA. Also check out others, especially when you get your first website up. You'll be asked to present it for feedback, and to give your feedback to others as well.

Thank you, excellent advice.

Nobody? Really?

Good Luck!

I notice that when using the WA keyword list i can`t see how many websites already using my selected keyword, am i right or am i using it wrong?

When you do a search in the Keyword Tool, you get a list in a table.. you see the link that says View Competition... look at the number of pages in the results.. that tells you how many pages are coming up for the exact phrase. and basically gives you the number of pages you are competing with.

That`s just it, when i press "view competition" i get redirected to some sort of google site and not the number of sites using that phrase.

I wonder if there will be any more expences as we go through the courses. So far it`s only Jaaxy that will cost an additional 19$/month, but are other things i will be needing?

I understand that i don`t have to buy any of the other services but how many succesful marketers don`t use them. Can i build a website efficiently without these services or will it only increase the work input for me not having them?

You will only spend WA premium only and use siterubix to make your own website for free or buy domain name to brand yourself for only 10$+ a year at namecheap. Others are only optional.

Ok, thank you all for your time and comments. Good to know that the WA keyword finder works fine.

You can use the built in keyword tool which is free. Eventually you will likely need an autoresponder depending on what you are trying to sell.
Many of the tools you can use save time or make things a lot easier so they are not really required, just nice to have.

Rick already said it. Some expenses can be added on depending on what you want to accomplish. You can add a free or paid for email auto responder. That's your own business choice.

You will not get hit with any other upgrades here at WA.
As Rick said, domain names should be all you need to pay for other than your wa premium membership.

You may eventually look into PPC advertising, but again, not required.

Lots of extras you can spend money on if you want to but nothing that is essential. I get by fine with the free wa keyword tool but will probably give Jaaxy a try if I ever make enough to pay for it.

Hi. Paying for your Premium membership is the only WA cost. Jaaxy is separate and totally up to you even though Kyle and Carson own that, too. The WA keyword tool works fine and it's included.

There are no additional WA costs and I've been here for over a year. Note, if you don't know, buying your own domain is extra as only the siterubix are free. I use Namecheap and it's about 10 bucks a year and there's no increase in cost. Hope this helps.
