The Journey and the Game Plan
I feel like I have come a long way in just two short months...
When I first started, I picked a niche, place mats for babies. Then I second guessed myself and changed my mind to a general everything baby. I named my site My Baby Insider not knowing what it was even going to be about. Then I wrote my first blog post about traveling with babies because it was the only thing I could think of at the time. Then I panicked a bit, or a lot, because I had no idea where to go from there.
I spent hours combing the internet for parenting/baby related sites trying to find one that spoke to me so I can get some idea of what to do. Then I came across a site that is all about baby product buy guides for parents.
That was it! I'm always looking for the best baby products for my kids, doing hours of research, reading reviews, asking for opinions. I'm not sure why it took me so long to figure it out, it was right in front of my face the whole time.
Now, I am 60% complete level 4 of the Online Entrenpreneur Certification. There have been a few delays along the way thus far. But, mainly because I chose to slow down and take the time to fully learn a new concept before moving on. So, in essence, it wasn't a delay after all. I'm sure this strategy has saved me a lot of back tracking ans redoing of work later on.
I'm not a super social person by nature, so I'm struggling a little with the social media aspect. But I'm working on it and doing my best. Sometimes I get so caught up in the writing that I forget to notice that world around me. Don't worry, it's usually only temporary, I do have two kids here to keep an eye on as well.
I have created a structure in Excel of the evergreen pages I want to create for my site, about 100 in total. And I have set my goals:
- Write and publish a minimum of 2 pages per week
- Write and publish a minimum of 1 blog post per week
- Complete a minimum of two lessons in my certification
- Watch 1 training by Jay (I have made myself a list of the ones I want to watch and choose from that each week)
- Give and ask for; Comments, Feedback, and Social followings.
- Research more low hanging fruit keywords
- Post at least one thing on all my social media accounts daily
- Be more active in the WA community
I also have writing goals created in the dashboard and so far I'm exceeding them.
Joining WA is the best decision I have ever made.
I love writing about things that can help people.
I love the creative freedom.
I love learning new things.
I love telling people that I have started my own business.
I love hearing all the amazing feedback on ways I can improve.
I love feeling supported by so many people that don't even know me.
You have all made me feel welcome, answered my questions, and gave me support when I needed it.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart and I can't wait to see what the next 2 months bring. The first two have been amazing!

Thank you! I wanted to choose a name that can go in any direction (should I change my mind again). I think once I have all the subpages in place for the first category (or parent page) I will share for opinions. I have been doing the site feedback occasionally, but it's pretty hit and miss for good and constructive feedback. It would be nice to have someone to talk to on occasion to bounce ideas off of, this can feel a bit lonely sometimes.
