today would've been my grandmas 76th birthday and instead of taking the day to remember her and mourn her absence, I've been sitting in my room all day thinking about how we've lost control over our own lives.
roe vs wade not only gave women the liberty to decide if they wanted to continue a pregnancy or not, but in the hands of rode vs wade also lies the ability to have access to birth control, same-sex marriage/relationships, the right to vote, anti-discrimination laws, interracial marriage, equality and basic human rights.
it's not just the liberty to decide for ourselves, but also the permanent damage that this will have along the way. let's not forget the increase in suicide rates that there is going to be due to this.
this is not about a fetus. this is about controlling women.
