The Problem with Persistence

Howdy Folks,

I trust you're all good. I'm just dropping by to lay down some wisdom that has landed in my consciousness. I used to think that I was a quitter, because I walked away from jobs I didn't enjoy and ended relationships that no longer served me. I used to think that made me fickle and foolish. So, over the years, I worked at being more consistent and complete by hanging on to things and people that weren't necessarily favourable. As the years progressed, I became very persistent and decisive, which in many respects are really great traits. But here's the one fault I find with persistence: if not applied correctly, it can and will lead you to failure. Napoleon Hill talks about persistence being one of the many characteristics of a successful person, but he also stresses the importance of making new plans and adjusting your course. So how does that apply to WA and my online business? Well, in many ways, but most importantly, in the recognition of what has not been working so far and adjusting and restructuring to ensure I am indeed creating the whole-listic success I am promising my clients. As I impatiently waited for guidance this last few weeks, I saw myself for who I had become, a plower. In the past, I would have continued writing blog posts, continued with the social media promotions, continued with the daily routine I had devised for my business and in that action, I would have likely continued to see very little progress and a lot of frustration. Having taken the time to view my business set up and see where my authentic voice got lost, I realized that in my haste to turn a profit, I had lost my unique path and message. Today I am blissfully aware of where I went off course. And you know what, I know exactly what needs to be done.
