I'm thinking of going a different direction with my site. So i was thinking of removing some of my current content and replacing it with content that is more relevant to the di

If it's a new site & not getting traffic then don't worry about it. Just change it. You can do a 301 redirect from the old page /post to the new one if you want.

So anyone who clicks a link for your old version, will see the new, improved page. Not get a 404 error for a missing page.

Use a redirect plugin Eg Redirection - easy to use.

And just remember to remove the permalinks you do not have anymore on Google Webmaster Tools, you will find it under Google index > remove URL's

If your are just doing changes no it will be fine if you are wanting to change permalinks etc then you need to make sure you do it right. I was just thinking this may be of some help

Thanks Katie! I am going to check this out because I was wondering about this too!

Thanks Katie! I had no idea about that stuff! I'm going to be playing around with that this morning! I had been trying to change the look and wasn't happy with how it was working. I think this is just what I needed!

I would not worry about Google. make changes and do it properly, the way you think is the best. I have had such a situation earlier. As you say, it can only be better. Do not hesitate.

Awesome! Thank you! I seem to be all over the place with my site since I started a month and a half ago. I feel like my page has several "niches" going on at once almost. I finally think I have one single direction that I want to go with it that I feel confident about!

Have you searched in a incognito window,, did you type in the post title and as jay and Nichole point our do you have several posts, how new is your site, try and also use related keywords to however do not over do it as you can end up being penalized if google thinks you are keyword stuffing

It depends how many posts you have on your site, it takes time for Google to start taking your site serious. But once you are established your posts will get ranked a lot quicker.

So in a nutshell, you just need to keep making quality posts, play the game and eventually you'll start getting your posts ranked regularly :)

how new is your site? Is it indexed by google? If it is newer (say less than 6 months) it may not show up.

yes it's indexed. But it's pretty new. Like a month and a half. So it'll be awhile before I have a real chance at getting traffic other than WA members going to it when I ask for feedback or comments?

I followed the training video and did everything it said to. I've refreshed pages and tried over and over again. I even waited several hours just to see if maybe that's what i

Woohoo! It just started working!

It does not always work first time one way to test it is to open you analytics go to view audience in real time, then go to your website if you have excluded your i.p address then ask someone to go on for you it should show up, however it can take a bit longer

still shows nothing :(

are you using the SEO method to add google or are you inserting code within your header section

SEO method. Seems to be finally working. I think...

That is great Stacy

I think it can take 24-48 hours for your stats to show.
