Keep your notebooks

I might be behind the times, but I still use paper notebooks and a pen to write anything and everything down as I go along the internet marketing road. I've got quite a stack of them now after 3+ years. They've got everything from things to do, to webinar notes to html tidbits, other sites I have to see, keywords and more...you know, everything.

I recommend keeping them after they're full because if/when that day comes when you're feeling down and think you're not learning anything or not learning all of the training here fast enough, you can go back and flip through them again.

This is usually a very quick way to see how much you've learned and the great progress made over a relatively short amount of time.

There will always be more to learn and new stuff to do but always (everyday) give yourself credit for how far you've come and how much you've learned to get to this point.

:) Have a terrific day/night everyone.

That's funny, I do the same thing. I don't trust my computer to keep my notes for me - so many crashes. Peace and cheers for a nice holiday.

Good idea. Peace and best wishes to you too.

Wow Stacydee, im so glad to hear that im not the only one to keep notes ........i thought i was just being olf fashioned and out dated.........thanks for sharing and take care Johan.

You are definitely not the only one using notebooks, I had been thinking I was using outdated methods but it's good to see that many others still do it too...and it's still an effective tool.

This is a terrific idea, I think i'll start doing this. Thanks :)

You're welcome :) I find the notebooks really help out and offer a different "learning medium" if you will.
Once your eyes go square from sitting at the computer then take a break and skim back over previous notes.
It soaks in to the brain differently and you may pick up and understand something that was stumping you before..

I use notebooks too, like you, to write down all kinds of stuff from keyword ideas, to step-by-step on how to do something on my website, html codes, new trainings to check out, and the list goes on! I have quite a few filled up already in the little over a year that I've been here. Otherwise, I'd never remember anything if I don't write it down on paper! I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who does this, lol! :) -Sherry

Awesome! My books have helped me a lot!
The plastic write-on "sticky" tabs are great for the side of the book too, it helps find particular topics again easily. Some of my books have a rainbow of rows of tabs on the top and side lol.

Good idea, I never thought of using those on my notebooks! It'd be much easier to find what I'm looking for in them. Thanks for the tip!

Np, it really does save considerable time. :)

I do too. It all goes in a notebook, and even though it may not be wonderfully organised, I know that it's all in there if I am trying to find something that I can't remember.

I agree, it's helpful to have the important bits noted down even if it's not quite organized.

Thanks BIS, :) I was wondering if I was but I guess not. So many books tells the story of your IM career from the beginning, that's very cool in my opinion and shouldn't be embarrassing.

You're not the only one. I have so many notebooks I'm embarrassed!

Bev, I just counted mine. 47 notebooks! Gosh, I may be pathetic.

47!? wow you sure have me beat!

Okay, I am a notebookholic. I will confess and come clean. I sometimes still even copy a lesson and stick it in a notebook. Is there a 12 Step program for me? I need help. lol

I use notebooks also lol

Good to know I'm not the last one haha

I use both notebooks and the computer to track notes. I have one binder just for Jay's Friday night seminars and refer to it often.

That's a great system. Jay's webinars are excellent!

I use them yet myself :)
