First Obstacle that nearly ran this train off the track
Just 2 days ago I was bragging about how easy the website building was with Kyle s training. The training is still great but sometimes things don't work like they should. Be it human error or software they just don't always work like planned.
I had a problem that Kyle's training could not help me with. I followed step by step up to menu content when my first and probably not last frustrating moment, or in this case days, occurred. I created a menu and would delete because it was not populating correctly. This must have occurred at least 3 or 4 times. Then I would walk away try to take a break from it, which my brain never does, would try to figure out what I had done wrong, if it would work on a mobile device, and a number of other ideas until I figured it out,
I did consider calling it quits thinking if I can't do this part the hardest is coming and it will be too hard. But I'm Irish, stubborn, formerly a red head and freckled. It nags me until I figure it out. Doesn't matter night or day. Can't even sleep if I'm worried or puzzling something out.
So what is my point exactly? Don't give up when you hit a bump in the road because that's just what it is a bump. This train did not derail but it considered it and now that I have it solved I'm thinking what an idiot you almost quit over a bump in the road. So don't quit when it happens!
One other thing I thought might be useful to share which is how I work through Kyle's training. In general, it is excellent but there is a lot of information and I'm sure this is intentional to get us up and running quickly. I will watch a portion of the video pause it when he comes to where he pauses to complete the next portion, go to my website and get that portion completed so I don't have to remember the entire content. Maybe age has made me simple-minded but it works for me and it may for someone else too.
Thanks for bearing with my long dissertation but there wasn't a way to shorten it and still get the meaning.
WA members, especially those of you struggling or new, plow on through you'll get it or someone will know what you need to do and keep going.

Sometimes the training is old and outdated and when you try to follow it, it doesn't work like the training is showing. Hopefully, the new innovations they are putting in place will update some of the old training to make it more relevant.
I've experience the same situations and I just asked the community for help. Most of the community have been where were are at and know some work arounds.

Thanks Barbara I think one of my issues with getting help is explaining where Iam at and what not working which makes it harder for anyone to help.
But thank you for sharing your bumps and why I maybe having them!
Stay with it. Try to work things through. Ask questions. What part of the training are you on?
Is there a way to keep your latest post from going to the top of your site menu on your website
I was once struggling as well. But I decided to stay with the system because i realized that the treasure is left unused.
