Is there certain themes I have to choose from if I want to be able to sell merchandise (not affiliate link merchandise)?

Or, can I choose Any theme and then I would just

Great question, and I see great answer...

I've heard about 'woo commerce theme' for that.

thank you, I'll check that out. appreciate it.

Yep, go for WooCommerce - works out of the box (download), and is free.

I have two sites selling physical products we make, using it.

Cheers, Mark

Thank you much. Looks like it's the way to go.
I appreciate all the help:)

I forgot to ask, Mark and Piofjr if you don't mind. Can you add paypal on woo for payment type? thanks.

Hi Samantha,
I don't use that theme, I think Mark can provide you the right answer.

Hello, would anyone happen to know why my SERTS description for one of my posts is showing this in the description?:

Logo · Hom

Can you link us directly to that post so we can have a look here. It is tough to really tell what is going on without actually seeing it. Please let us know here and we will give you a hand Samantha. :)

I'm sorry, I didn't know more people had replied here. I did the "fetch" in google as someone suggested and it worked.
thank you for attempting to help me and sorry I didn't see this until now.

Hand craft your Description, Check the 2 boxes below NOOPD and NOYDIR, that supposedly prevents Google/Bing to make up their own description.

However, the menu tabs should NOT show up there. Usually they pull the first 160 characters from the content if you don't change it AND NOT check these 2 boxes. Must be some other reason. Is the post published yet? Send a link to the post and let me take a look

Not sure what SERTS mean. If this is about meta description: a) Google does not necessarily accept it. They replace it with what they think is suitable. b) In this particular case this might also mean that your post is not ranked yet. Most likely this is the case. Check incognito. Do fetch as Google, and give it a few days.

I"m sorry, yes you are correct in the location I meant to type "serp".
thank you for your advise, I will give that a shot.

thank you, I think the fetch thing worked! It's now my description.
Thanks a lot.

I would go back into the SEO for that page/post, scroll down, and correct it in the box that appears there. Make sure to hit the update/save button before you leave the page. Then go to your site, and click refresh on your browser. And check out that page/post again. Or search for it again.

If that doesn't fix it, its above my level of experience.

I had tried that, I never had my menu items in the seo in the first place, but I retyped and saved just to "try" it, no luck.
I appreciate your reply.
