Akismet is no longer being used by WA - Akismet Plugin - The Dark Side of Greed. - We now use WP-ApamShield is the new one we now use.
Thank you for your help! I read the description for the Spam Shield and it sounded similar to Akismet, but I wanted to be sure before I clicked too many buttons. Thanks again! :)

I was thinking about building my website around trying new things, whether it be new foods, games, movies, household products, anything! I would try out a product, and write a
This is the same idea I had too, 'Best Sellers Niche', but I didn't end up going with it because of how broad it is....good luck tho if you do!! :)
It's very possible, but it will be A LOT of work as it is very broad, you'll have to put out content regularly and no less than 1 article a day. Good luck and let me know if you go with it!

Well, not if you set up the site just like you are explaining it so it is not confusing.

Thank you for the feedback! I figure I could start with one thing, say for example, movie reviews. As my website grows I suppose I could add tabs down the side for different categories (one for household products, one for beauty products, and so on). I am a Gemini, and if there's any truth to horoscopes, we can get pretty scatterbrained and want to do everything all at once! This way, I can have a broad range but still try to keep it simple. :)
