Affiliate marketing: it works even when you don't.
As a newbie, I've been told that the best thing about affiliate marketing is that you own a store in a place that's always on, and your customers are everyone in the world who is online. Let's hear it for the internet!
Lots of transitions in my life lately. One negative is that I more or less ignored my blogs and Wealthy Affiliate life for two months. One positive is that I got to see that above promise in action.
One of my posts is getting over a hundred organic visits a week. It's on the first page of google. I've even gotten organic comments. And yes, some modest, out of seeming nowhere commissions at Amazon.
This means two things:
1) THIS STUFF WORKS, even when you're not at the wheel.
2) Time for Sporkeybear to get back on the wagon and write more front-page-of-google articles!

Sporkeybear?
But, yes, it is truly passive (as in go to bed, go on vacation, go around the world, whatever and come back and go to the bank!
I'll glad you realize the power of this business. It's like I tell my family and friends. As I'm hanging out with them I'm still making money. You can't say that for a job or most other type of businesses. It takes time to see the results but eventually it comes. All your posts won't rank and make money. But you only need one to do so sometimes. Eventually as you become trusted by Google more of them will. So our job is to keep pumping out the content to help that process even if you're not seeing the results yet. But they will come and you just proved that.
Thank you for the feedback and motivation! I was really caught up in my own crap for a few months but it was encouraging to see the word I'd done paying off in the background! This is such good motivation for me to keep plowing forward.
That's great about your article Stephanie. Hope the organic traffic keeps coming. Not sure about what you meant about the article linked at the end though because it looks like it was written by someone with a different name. PS Female hair loss is a huge concern so it's a great topic.

Thanks for the comment and good wishes! I use aliases on my various websites and would guess that's a fairly common practice - definitely links to the right article.
