How to cultivate GRIT
Grit is the stubborn refusal to quit. — Jonah Lehrer
How to cultivate GRIT in six ways:
- Pursue your interests. Find your passion. Get a mentor to assess you.
- Practice makes perfect. Be better than yesterday. Improve. Ignore giving up.
- Have a purpose. Ask yourself how you are helping other people.
- Hope. Expect with confidence" and "to cherish a desire with anticipation."
- Remove negative people in your life. Sorround yourself with people who ONLY lifts you to a higher purpose.
- Eliminate distraction. Concentrate and focus. Stick with your day in and day out not just for a week but for a year.
Successful people aren't born successful. They stick with their long-term goals instead of getting distracted, and they keep going despite pain and hardships and have a lot of GRIT.
Grit is living life like a marathon not a sprint.

There are so many myths around success and a lot of them are propagated by unsuccessful people when we look at it in its entirety, success is the child of our own determination, born on the breeze and grown stronger on the wind of our endeavors.
I really like your thoughts and insights here Janice thanks for sharing.
Of all the aspects of grit and determination, the one that drives me is the ability to pick yourself up off the canvas just one more time.
Like you say grit is not an overnight success, not a one-hit wonder moreover that work in progress.
