Some dreams are stupid...."A motivational blog"!

Some people will tell you to always follow your dreams and never give up on them. Especially on Facebook. These quotes are usually presented on a background image of some sunset over a lake. So you know it's true and stuff. But I disagree. Your dreams ARE important, but let's be real here. Some dreams are stupid. You should give up on them immediately and delete all your posts concerning them.

For instance: My dream of having a threesome with Jennifer Aniston and Mila Kunis. I had to give up on that. And not JUST because of the "restraining orders". Well, mostly because of that, But also I'm not rich. Or famous. Or what you would consider "good looking". Goodbye dream!

Another example: I've always wanted to be a rock star. Live a life on the road with my band mates, free alcohol and all the groupies I could shake a stick at. The problem is I can't sing. My voice has been described as "what it would sound like if a litter of cats were getting run over by a squeeky train". Thanks mom! I also have zero ability to play any kind of instrument. If my remote control were a musical instrument I might have a shot. Goodbye dream!

Being a fire fighter would be cool. Always wanted to try that. However I kind of like watching things burn. Now if lives were at stake, that would be different. I don't want to see anyone get hurt. I have a heart too people! BUT if a call came in late at night my first question would be "Is anybody in the building?" if they said no I would just say "Well then it can wait. I'm watching the Fresh Prince of Bel Air marathon on Nickelodeon!" Goodbye dream!

But what's important is not what dreams you give up on. Take all the energy and drive from your stupid dreams and put that into your website! Because that is a dream we can ALL accomplish. It's dependent on US to make it happen and it doesn't matter if you're popular, famous, rich, good looking, or have undesirable traits that some people find offensive. The hardest part of this or any other worthwhile goal is never accepting failure as an option. Save that for Pizza Hut.

Your website is your baby. Your child. You have to nourish it with content and protect it from spammers and trolls. You have to give it the attention it needs to grow up and become a success. As with real children you can either raise them right and make them productive members of society or just let them run wild with no discipline and be that kid at Wal-Mart whose parent you want to punch in the throat for raising such a horrible person. That last one might just be me, but you get the point.

The things we put our mind, heart, time, and energy into are the things that will succeed. So don't waste them on stupid dreams. I hope this blog helps in some little way to motivate you to keep going when things get rough.

Now, if anyone knows if there WILL be a Fresh Prince of Bel Air marathon on, let me know. That Carlton. He can't dance and that's funny!
