It's A New Day to Thrive
The title above says it all.
My ultimate intention/goal is to get moved to Idaho in just few short months. This will start the next chapter of my life... retirement.
Now, don't get me wrong, retirement does not mean sitting around and doing nothing. Retirement in my eyes is having better choices, like starting up an affiliate marketing blog. So that is my why for being here at WA.
My background has me attempting this on a few occasions. Thinking back to when the Internet had it own Big Bang into our world around 1996. I noticed some people who I will label Cyber Bums. That got my mind fuming because I thought "Who are these people to be begging for free stuff. I am a hard working dude and should be getting those things." Well, rather than beat them I decided to join them.
My first website/blog was GreatAmericanCyberBum and wrote a big long kind of like copywriting page that essentially said, I have worked my butt off all year and still can't afford to take the kids to Disneyland.
That dumb little website taught me something important. Primarily, it taught me that people do read your stuff online. Not all were so happy. Many wrote just to rant that I had no right asking for free stuff. I had become a great American cyber bum. It wasn't all bad new in comment. On one occasion a director at Disney contact me and said if I ever showed up at the gates of Disneyland they would let me in free.
Since that website experiment I poke at affiliate marketing. Not much happened. That is probably on me. I was not consistent and persistent. Which brings me to where I am today.... here at WA to be a sponge and just listen, read, and learn.
A long time ago (1980ish) I read a book titled: The Coming Bad Times.
The entire thesis of this book was that government and world economics were going to go sideways or decline into another depression. Kind of negative for sure. This book was written an published prior to the Internet Big Bang.
Today you can search for "Prepper or Survival" and many end times blogs will show up. I have always been intrigued by this theme. So my first blog here at WA is a prepper and survivalist blog. My tag line is: Prepare and Survive in End Times.
One of my thoughts was to make this a blog that ties into articles written on other similar blogs (RSS feed... I think) and then monotenize. I will use Twitter and Truth Social as my social media mega phone voice. Does anyone know how to create a feed like this from other blogs?
So... at only one month in I am on my way forward.
It will be my intention to remain consistent with content and persistent with action to drive traffic and get the right affiliate links. If anyone has any thoughts on the End Times thing or maybe a different angle to take I am all ears, like Dumbo from Disneyland.
