Have you ever seen people who claim these achievements and thought, 'Hmmmmm...They must be naturally really good at blogging, vlogging, song writing or Marketing, I'll never get that good.'

Or if you're a musician, you see people collecting their awards and think 'They're SO talented, I could never win that award?'

Well, it may be true that a lot of well known writers and Musicians are talented, it's also true that there are many more gifted people who are just as 'good' but never get known beyond their own town.

So what makes the difference between the famous creators and the unknowns?

Well, in addition to a lot if luck, the other ingredients are hard work and dedication.

No one starts out being great at anything, most geniuses have been practicing a long time, they started early and persisted, driven to succeed but not deterred by failure, their early works may have been dreadful! But they continued to hone their craft until it becomes so brilliant that it cannot be denied.

Don Black, Oscar winning lyricist, who has written 5 James Bond themes revealed that in addition to not being able to read music and writing Born Free which won him an academy award, that his first song was titled 'Where there's Smoke..There's Salmon' which doesn't sound like an award winning title to me!

Its said that as a songwriter, your first 100 songs are really just practice and it's only after that you start to find your voice and style.

Maybe that's true for writers as well. Your early works are just allowing you to get to the good stuff, like mining for Gold, cutting through layers dirt to reveal the real beauty.

Here at WA my first 100 posts, I see as practice, then I'll find my flow and voice.

Before any accolades, financial rewards and recognition I see lots of work ahead.

That's why they have a saying in Silicon Valley, the home of tech start ups, 'Fail Fast and often' as they know the more quickly you create and fail, the quicker you'll get to the good stuff!

So enjoy the process of learning to be successful!

Really great post!
To become the best of ourselves, let's
not be afraid to fail and start over until
we get there. Success is often sitting on
mountain of failures.

Have a great day!
