Can you take the Elevator to the Top Of Everest?

Mount Everest is NOT the Tallest Mountain in The World.. FACT!

Want to know which Mountain is the actual tallest?

(tell you later in this post...)

Why I am I telling you this?

To get your attention.... and because climbing a mountain is often used as a metaphor for the journey to success.

It seems in this modern age of labour saving devices and obsession with speed, that surely we could just build an elevator to up the side of Everest and then everyone could ascend the mountain with a fraction of the effort and risk! Surely if all people want to see is the view, then why not?

Or even easier, hire a helicopter to drop us off at the top?

Well, that would solve one problem but it misses the whole point.

People don't risk their lives for the view, they take on the challenge of the climb, to push themselves to the limits of physical, mental and emotional capabilities and beyond, to experience what it is to overcome such a massive obstacle and to feel the sense of achievement once at the summit.

Starting a business, being an Entrepreneur, even starting a family, doing anything significant and challenging isn't really about the end game is it?

It's the challenge and the journey, that's what we crave and long for as humans, to overcome the odds and break through our fears and limiting beliefs and feel the freedom that comes from that.

There is a lot of people I have noticed particularly on the internet promising an 'Elevator to the Top' an easy ride, a get-rich-quick scheme. But that's all it is, its them showing you their view from the top but you don't get any of the sense of achievement or understand what it takes to get there, just a view.

Here at Wealthy Affiliate, I believe that Kyle and Carson have climbed to the top and show us the view but also share the map that THEY took so we can take the STEPS to learn how to get to the top ourselves.

They know that even with the all the tools, the map, the support, which is very much-needed, what really will get US to the top is the DESIRE to do it!

Without the reason, the desire, the hunger to reach the summit, we'll not make it no matter how clear the map or big the support and they can't give us that, they can't take us up in their elevator because that would miss the whole point.

So, before you prepare to climb the mountain, ask yourself, Why do I want to do it? What is my desire? Have I got the commitment to get to the top no matter how long or tough it gets.

There is no elevator to success, you have to take the stairs - Zig Ziglar

Wealthy affiliate and the community here will be with you every step of the way!

Btw * Everest is the highest Mountain above sea level at nearly 9,000m but Mauna Kea, a Hawaiin Island, is the actual Tallest Mountain at over 10,000m. (6,000m of it is below sea level!)

Great post!
We should never stop climbing the steps,
even if we have to catch our breath sometimes.
The important things is to continue up steps.

Have a great day!
Ingrid

Yes Babou. We need to take them every day and keep going...yes stopping to rest and enjoy the view along the way.
What are your actions for the day?

Like your thought train Spence, indeed there is no elevator and if there are no stairs we have to build our own.

Thanks Alex. Great comment.
I think the steps are already laid down but sometimes we want to create our own as well!
We just need the desire to climb the stairs or the steps and keep climbing until we reach the summit :)

Have you had much success here at WA?

So true Spence, on both counts, and once we learn the processes we can craft our own version of success, everything is possible.
